Under 21 in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is fabulous for people of ages. However, there are a few restrictions for visitors under the age of 21. Following is a brief overview of laws and rules affecting minors:

US Liquor Law

While Las Vegas has some of the most liberal liquor laws in the US, you must be at least 21 years of age to drink alcohol.

Gambling Laws

You must be a minimum of 21 years of age to gamble. People under the age of 21 are prohibited from loitering in casinos.

Hotel restrictions for under 21s

As it's illegal for under-21's to gamble, many Las Vegas hotels don't let people less than 21 years of age check in unless they're with a person over the age of 21. This is not a legal restriction imposed by the state - it's a choice the hotels may make. .

We have compiled a very general list of Las Vegas hotels and their minumum age restictions when booking a hotel room. Click here to view.
