Free Lessons
So you never gamble, but you're in Vegas and you figure "when in Rome...". Well, you're in luck! Many Las Vegas casinos offer free gaming lessons.
During a lesson, the instructor will teach you the basic rules and objectives of the game. You'll pay some example hands to get you familiar with different scenarios, explaining the various odds and how you would be paid on each hand.
Lessons are also a great way to learn the proper jargon and etiquette of each game. For example, if the dice fall off the table in craps, it's not the done thing to place them back on the table. Instead, they should be handed to the dealer, who will inspect them for any signs of tampering before play resumes. Another good idea is to practice online before you visit, there's now an abundance of reputable online casinos many of which offer free demo mode, where you can play the games for free. This Australian guide is a good starting point listing such casinos, as well as providing beginners guide to the most popular games
